Homeschool Art

Weekday art programs for homeschool families. Located in the Park Hill Neighborhood, easily accessible to larger Denver area. Every session is a unique project using clay, paint, glue and many other materials. Every class is taught by a working artist tailored to meet the needs of the classes. We have a full year program available, or many workshops for a one session experience.

MONDAYS, AGES 5 TO 12

A Full Year of Art

Meeting most Mondays through the DPS school year, this program combines art history, multiple mediums, and a wide range of techniques into a full curriculum. It's taught by an experienced classroom teacher with more than twenty years working with students of all kinds.

We use the Teaching for Artistic Behavior approach, which means students make real choices about their own work and learn to think like artists. Alongside visual arts skills, they build collaboration, self-expression, problem-solving, and the confidence that comes from finishing something you made yourself.

Prorated enrollment and payment plans available.

Ages 3-12

TUESDAY & FRIDAY WORKSHOPS

Each workshop explores different mediums, styles, and art history, with a unique lesson plan designed by our instructor. Young artists combine technical skills with experimentation, learning the fundamentals while discovering their own creativity and having a ton of fun.

Three hours, grouped by age. Tuesdays run ages 3 to 8 in the morning and ages 4 to 8 in the afternoon. Fridays run ages 3 to 12 in the morning and ages 4 to 12 in the afternoon. Bring a snack and a water bottle. Students enrolled in both sessions can stay for a supervised lunch break at no extra charge, so a full day is easy to put together.

Register for one day or multiple days, each is an independent workshop.

MORE DAYS, MORE ART

WHEN SCHOOL'S OUT

When Denver Public Schools is closed, we add workshops on the other days too. Some appear on the calendar as workshops, some as School Day Out, and homeschool families are welcome at all of them. Three hour format for morning and afternoon.

Check the calendar to see what's running the week you need.
